PCGA Opening Ceremony

OPENING CEREMONY OF PENANG CLUSTER ALLIANCE SDN BHD (PGCA)

This is an incubator initiatives by Government of Penang and Penang Cluster Alliance Sdn Bhd of which Jeffrey Lim (our ICT Committee Member) who is the Deputy Managing Director of PGCA. It serves to nurture talent in IT to provide a ready platform and resources to kick off their IT ventures. Facilities provided are for IT enthusiasts to further develop their capabilities to spurs the development of Penang into a truly IT base city /economy. PCCC should encourage our IT based members to participate in this activities and building and strengthen their presence in IT business. YAB chief Minister of Penang, YAB Lim Guan Eng officiated the opening ceremony. YAB CM speech emphasize the developing of Penang into a international city whereby people’s talent must be exploited in addition to the state of the art hardware facilities Penang already had. He stressed the importance of leadership making the right decision complimented by doing the right thing by the professional and experts, e.g. in IT. Under the present leadership, the right decision must also take into consideration of the nurturing of Penang’s present and future talent. Penang State Science Council was formed to drive the learning of science even though it is a subject more difficult to master, is key ingredient for out future development. We must be prepare to take the challenge to drive the change. Be prepare to do different thing if we wish to get different results. As convenor of ICT –PCCC, I strongly agreed with the concept of change mooted by YAB CM for a better tomorrow for our life and the business community. Changes through human resource development initiatives may be the right step to begin.
