SERC RESEARCH DEBRIEFING & ENGAGEMENT WITH PCCC
ACCCIM established Socio-Economic Research Centre (SERC Sdn Bhd) in year 2010. The objectives of establishment are to provide independent and objective research and a free exchange of ideas for advancing the pace of socio-economic development and welfare for all in Malaysia, and in particular, to provide a center from which both the public and private sectors can seek advice and conduct research on national social and economic issues, including financial and business.
In this regard, SERC will be organizing a research briefing in Penang and Penang Chinese Chamber of Commerce fully supports this event. The details are as follows:-

Briefing Topics are as below:

3. Current Economic Condition
The briefing will be delivered by 3 speakers. First speaker, Dr. Teh Chee Ghee, holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Credit Management, a Master of Business Administration degree and an Honours Degree in Accounting, all from University of Malaya. He is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA). He is the Head of Research of SERC Sdn Bhd. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance and the Coordinator - Finance, Department of Accounting and Finance, the School of Business, Monash University Malaysia.
The next speaker Ms. Sum Kum Mooi joined SERC as Senior Researcher. After 18 years with MPOC, she moved on to Palm Oil Refiners Association of Malaysia (PORAM) to assume leadership role in spearheading the administration of the Association. She then pursued her post graduate studies and obtained her Master of Business Administration in 2012.
Another speaker is Mr. Lee Soon Thye. He is a researcher in SERC.
