以下是有关于日本生态城市的一些资料: 本商会派遣3位代表, 拿督骆育明,谢德仁与王思勇出席由槟岛市议会与社会经济研究中心联合国环境规划署及槟州政府2009年8月24日上午9时至下午5时假槟城新关子角G－Hotel主办一项研讨会。 研讨会题目是“草槟州生态城市政策架构：利益团体圆桌咨询会议"。 举办此项圆桌会议的目的是要咨询有关利益团体对于槟州环境维护的共同愿景的意见与反馈，并时确定草拟槟州生态城市政策架构的优先次序。来自中国沈阳的代表团也出席此研讨会并与有关利团体分享他们的经验。 以下是有关于日本生态城市的一些资料:

"Development of Penang's Eco-Town Policy Framework: Stakeholders" roundtable Consultation

Three of our members，Dato' Loh Geok Beng, Mr. Ray Cheah Teak Jin and Mr. Ong Soo Yong represent the chamber to attend the event, namely “Development of Penang’s Eco-Town Policy Framework: Stakeholders’ Seminar organized by Penang Island Municipal Council (MPPP), Socio Economic and Environmental Research Institute (SERI), in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the State Government of Penang on the 24th August 2009 (Mon) at G-Hotel, Persiaran Gurney. The roundtable has been called to seek stakeholders’ comments and feedback on a shared vision of sustainable environment of Penang and to prioritize actions to be undertaken for the development of Penang’s eco-town framework. A delegation from Shenyang, China also shared their experiences with the stakeholders in Penang.
