慈善基金 CHARITY FUND

槟州中华总商会慈善基金委员会简介

槟州中华总商会慈善基金委员会于1973年在马来西亚社团注册法令下注册成立。本委员会的宗旨为：

(i)    赞助各族教育及慈善机构
(ii.)  救济病患及灾黎 家境清寒及急需援助之人士
(iii.) 提供贷学金/奖学金, 协助表现优越但家境清寒之学生

本委员会所推展的募捐基金活动，获得热心教育事业的华社响应支持，特与献捐设立纪念先人基金，以为国家社会培育英才。有关之十一个纪念基金包括：

* 李月樵先生纪念基金
* 陈德庚先生纪念基金
* 陈一明先生纪念基金
* 雷贤木先生纪念基金
* 叶龙安局绅纪念基金
* 柯福顺先生纪念基金
* 许吴人俊女士纪念基金
* 拿督蔡锡洪先生纪念基金
* 拿汀斯里林素芬纪念基金

本委员会贷学金乃由以上基金存款生息，从所得利息中支付，借贷予家庭经济有欠理想，但学业成绩优良的学子，以便于本国大学及大专学院校继续升造。学生毕业后，再免息分期摊还薪金，以惠及后来申请者。根据纪录，1978年至2008年间，共有逾300名学生在此贷金计划下受惠。从2005年开始，本委员会每年也颁发大学奖学金予成绩优越的大学生，每人1千元。迄至2008年，共有135名大学生获得嘉奖。此外，本会也多次拨款赞助各教育与善基机构及赈济国内外天灾灾黎。

PCCC Charity Fund Committee

The Penang Chinese Chamber of Commerce Charity Fund Committee was established in1973 under Malasyia's Societies Act. The Committee's objectives as promulgated in its Rules are as follows:

(i.)   to assist educational and charitable institutions of all races,
(ii.)  to relieve the sick and calamity-strike, the poor and the needy, and
(iii.) to provide study-loans/scholarship for needy and deserving students.

With the support and devotion of the Chinese community towards educational undertakings, the PCCC Charity Fund Committee has sewt up several memorial funds in aid of the nation to foster qualified personnel. The eleven (11) charity and memorial funds are as follows:

All the study loans for the students were derived from bank interest of the charity funds deposits. They are being used to assist those well-performed students who are financially incapable, to continue and complete their higher education. From year 1978 to 2008, more than 300 students has benefited from the study loans scheme. Commencing year 2005, the Charity Fund Committee also granted scholarships to outstanding students every year. Form year 2005 to 2008. a total of 135 undergraduates have received RM1,000 each. In addition, the Committee also donated funds to assist educational and charitable institutions as well as victims of disasters.
